Lane closures will be in place from February 17 for road widening, safety improvements and maintenance work to be carried out south of Hebden Road.
Work is expected to be carried out between 7am and 5pm from Monday to Friday with night work also required between 7pm and 5am from Sunday to Thursday.
It is expected to take three months to complete, weather permitting.
Traffic control and a reduced speed limit will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
