Aussie icon Shannon Noll and legendary band Dragon will kick off the 40th anniversary of the annual event at White Park Arena on Thursday, May 7.
Wanting to make the most of the new undercover arena, the committee decided it was time to test out the multipurpose asset as a music venue.
The concert will officially open the festival, with Dragon taking to the stage first at 6pm, followed by Shannon Noll from around 7.30pm.
You can expect to hear all of the classics from both acts, including April Sun in Cuba, Are You Old Enough?, Rain, What About Me, Shine, Loud and plenty more.
"This will be a family-friendly event however we are excited to be holding an event that will appeal to all age groups," Scone Horse Festival president David Gatwood said.
"The arena floor will turn into a mosh pit for those who want to get close to the action or just want to have a dance.
"In the lead up to the Scone Horse Festival, we will be running a number of competitions with some great prizes on offer.
"Make sure you follow the Scone Horse Festival Facebook page @sconehorsefestival for updates on upcoming competitions.
"Tickets are now on sale, with the choice of general admission or VIP, which includes a reserved seating area, with soft drinks and snacks provided.
"But, you have to be quick with the VIP tickets, as there is a limited number available.
"We're expecting them to sell out quickly."
Those who pre-purchase their tickets online will be rewarded with a saving of $10 per ticket as prices will likely increase on the day at the gate.
