AGL Macquarie, JR Richards, Warrior Disability Services, Denman Children's Centre and Muswellbrook Shire Council conducted activities in Denman on Tuesday, February 25.
AGL Macquarie cleaned up around the Denman lookout, while the Warriors, littlies from Denman Children's Centre and council staff tended to the Denman Skate Park.
JR Richards donated skips bins for these events.
AGL Macquarie general manager Mr Len McLachlan said volunteering was an important way the company could help local communities.
"All AGL people have the opportunity to use a 'Volunteer Day' every year to help a local organisation or cause they identify with," he explained.
"Whenever we put out the call for volunteers to help with Clean Up Australia Day, we receive great interest.
"I'm really pleased that some of our employees can assist Denman this year."
Now, the community is invited to participate in Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday, March 1, from 9am to noon.
Residents are encouraged to bring a hat, water bottle and closed shoes.
The events will take place Rutherford Park, Scott Street, Muswellbrook; and Name Path, Merino Street, Denman.
"It's great to see local businesses like AGL supporting the community in this way," a council spokesperson said.
"We need to get the message out there that illegal dumping on council or privately-owned land is wrong and significantly impacts the local environment and the community members who want to enjoy these areas responsibly."
