Just before 5pm on Saturday, March 28, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (WRHS) was tasked to a property between Sandy Hollow and Merriwa.
It is believed a 40-year-old landed heavily while carrying out a jump on his bike.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient, who was further stabilised by the WRHS's critical care medical team.
The man was then airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
