Upper Hunter MP Michael Johnsen said the state government funds would deliver much-needed improvements to local facilities for sporting associations, social clubs and community organisations.
"This is fantastic news for the electorate, with many groups receiving assistance," he stated.
"This grassroots funding will directly help create a more vibrant and inclusive local community with positive social, sporting and educational outcomes, which couldn't be more important at this time.
"I congratulate all the organisations that were successful in their application - and look forward to seeing how these projects make a real difference."
Muswellbrook's Park Tennis Club Inc's Pam King welcomed the announcement.
"While we were able to play our grand finals the other night, the 'cherry on the top' was hearing that we'd received a grant of $35,000," she said.
"The money will be well-used in upgrading the playing surface of the courts."
