That's the message from one of the organisers, Doc Milton, with the event's original date - Saturday, April 18 - now pushed back on the calendar.
The function, at the Aberdeen Sports and Recreation Club, was to welcome all former employers, employees, meat inspectors, fitters and association workers from the premises, which shut its doors on April 16, 1999.
That closure put about 400 men and women out of a job.
At its peak, the Aberdeen Meatworks, founded in 1890, was the Upper Hunter town's main employer for more than a century.
"It's disappointing [to postpone it], I won't lie," Mr Milton said.
"We'd received a lot of interest from people to attend the reunion.
"But, in the current climate and the uncertainty surrounding the coronavirus, it's the smartest decision.
"It will now be held at a later time, when it's safe to do so."
