In fact, the committee - and, in particular, president Johnny Marco - worked around the clock to make much-needed improvements to the Olympic Park facility.
Now, when the season kicks off on July 18, locals and visiting teams will not only notice upgrades to the change rooms, but enhancements to the players' shelters, too.
"Johnny's done a great job," publicity officer Stacy Snewin said.
"The sheds have been painted in the Rams' colours.
"And, the change rooms now boast cubicles, which are terrific in providing privacy to the female players.
"Everything looks great."
Following the success of 2019, the young Rams were anticipating another big year; and possibly fielding 25 sides in various age groups.
They even launched their 2020 campaign in style, with former Australian Test player Willie Mason, ex-Brisbane Broncos star Matt Gillett, and Jillaroos pair Mima Taufa and Tallisha Harden venturing to town for the occasion.
Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic struck soon after, derailing Muswellbrook's plans and many other Hunter Valley Group 21 clubs along the way.
"It will be different this season," Snewin admitted.
"We'll only have about 17 teams, including the girls' sides.
"It's taken a lot of work to get the COVID-19 protocols implemented.
"We had to put our safety plan into NSW Rugby League and Muswellbrook Shire Council.
"However, everyone's on board with it, from the players to the coaches and managers.
"After such a long break, with the restrictions and uncertainty, to get out and play is pretty amazing.
"It's testament to the Muswellbrook committee and executive.
"We're just glad to get back on the field, even with a shortened season.
"Although we're still waiting for the draw to be finalised, the kids are rearing to go."
