Transport for NSW will carry out the project, which includes road resurfacing and line marking work, and adjusting the concrete median islands to improve safety for vehicles entering and exiting nearby properties.
Work will also involve adjusting one median at the Denman Road intersection, building two new medians and widening the shoulder to accommodate an informal rural school bus stop.
Additional work will involve removing the left turn acceleration lane and installing a give way line for motorists turning left on the Golden Highway towards Denman.
Work will be carried out from Monday, October 19, between 7am and 5pm on weekdays over the next three weeks.
Some of it will be carried out between 7pm and 5am for two nights towards the end of the project, weather permitting.
A 40km/h speed limit and lane closures with stop/slow arrangements will be in place during work hours and may impact travel times.
A reduced speed limit of 60km/h will apply outside work hours.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
Transport for NSW thanks motorists for their patience during this time.
