Ten days have passed since the 31-year-old was last seen on Calgaroo Avenue, during a visit to Muswellbrook from Lake Macquarie.
Crime Manager at Hunter Valley Local Area Command, Detective Inspector Tim Seymour, says police hold serious concerns for Carly’s welfare.
“Ms McBride disappeared some time after 2pm on Tuesday, September 30 and police were called in when she failed to return to her home and couldn’t be contacted.
“We’re appealing to the community to help locate her, so if anyone recalls seeing a woman wearing a yellow T-shirt, blue jeans, sandals and carrying a tan handbag we’re hoping they’ll get in touch with us,” Det. Insp. Seymour said.
Earlier this week, Inspector Guy Guiana, from Muswellbrook Police, said officers have reviewed CCTV footage from local businesses, conducted searches along the banks of the Hunter River and also along the Skellatar Stock Route.
Inspector Guiana said members of the public have come forward with two possible sightings of the missing woman, but that information has failed to produce any leads.
Carly McBride is described as being of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander appearance, 165cm to 175cm tall, with thin build, brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who thinks they have seen the missing woman, or knows her whereabouts, should contact Muswellbrook Police on 02 6542 6999, or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
