The game marks a change back to 40 overs from the Twenty20 format, but Galvin believes his team will continue with the approach that sees them sitting in second place.
“It doesn’t matter whether it’s Twenty20 or 40 overs, we still play the same type of aggressive cricket,” he said.
“We haven’t played Souths yet this season, but obviously they’ve been pretty strong so far.
“Their main guys are probably still Ash Sully, Mal Dieckmann and Neil Jimmieson. We’ll have the same line-up so it’ll be interesting to see how we go.”
RSL had a convincing win in their last match against PCH, posting 153 before restricting their opponents to 109.
Galvin played a key role in the win, making an unbeaten 20 and claiming 4/5.
Luke Cameron top-scored for RSL with 29.
Galvin said he was pleased with the team’s overall batting performance in the face of quality PCH bowling.
Young opening fast bowler Glenn Winsor initially tore through RSL’s line-up, bagging 4/18.
“Everyone chipped in, a few batters made mistakes but their main bowler was exceptional,” Galvin said.
Meanwhile, Souths prepared for the match with a loss to JPC.
Shane Harman scored 51 to guide his side to 6/95, with Souths only able to offer 76 in reply.
Tomorrow’s matches: Valley play JPC at Cook Park 2, PCH battle Creeks at Cook Park 4, Denman take on Glendon at Denman No.1 Oval and Souths hope to end Muswellbrook RSL’s run at Olympic Park.
