Some of the highlights were captured by Fairfax Media's Hunter Valley News and Muswellbrook Chronicle on the day.
These include excerpts of the opening ceremony, pipe bands, the Tartan Warriors competing to lift the 100kg to 165kg Manhood Stones and some of the highland dancing.
