The fire, at Hebden Road, began about 11.15am.
UNDER CONTROL: Five NSW RFS trucks and 15 firefighters attended a fire near Muswellbrook on Wednesday.
“We believe it was started by rail grinding – and covered approximately two hectares,” NSW Rural Fire Services (NSW RFS) Hunter Valley District fire mitigation officer Keith Lobb said.
“There were five NSW RFS trucks and 15 firefighters in attendance.
“They’ve been mopping up and are just leaving the fire ground now.”
