And, there will be an opportunity this weekend to learn from one of the best at a film making workshop.
The two day workshop will be at Muswellbrook library on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 25.
Workshop facilitator Davo Hardy will be teaching people about choosing an idea, story structure, writing a script, story boards, casting and rehearsal, sound recording, post production, and more.
Blue Heeler Film Festival organiser Casey Gilbey said there are still places available for the informative event.
“They learn lots of skills and tips and tricks,” she said.
Entries are now open for the Blue Heeler Film Festival to residents in Muswellbrook, Upper Hunter, Singleton, Cessnock City, Dungog and Gloucester.
Entries close July 20, and prizes will be awarded to the winners of the junior, senior and open categories, along with an overall winner who will claim the “Bluey” trophy.
All entries this year must include the theme “blue” – which is open to creator interpretation.
