Following a strong rebuilding year, registrations are now open for 2016-17.
And, it all starts on Tuesday, October 11, from 6pm at Weeraman Oval.
“Membership picked up a bit the past 12 months,” publicity officer Kylie Wilton said.
“Last year, we had about 110 youngsters registered.
“So, we’re hoping to attract a similar number again.
“The club caters for Tiny Tots (three-to-five years), which is a fun introduction to athletics.
“The older kids (six-to-17 years) take part in long and short distance [running] events, as well as a variety of field disciplines.
“We meet every Tuesday from 7pm, and contest zone and regional competitions, too.
“We’ll run for two school terms – and there is a two-week free trail available.
“Plus, there are membership discounts for families with one or more children participating.”
Wilton said the future was looking bright for Muswellbrook Little Athletics.
“A new committee was formed in 2015-16 – and, thankfully, everyone has stuck around,” she said.
“One of our goals is more fundraising activities to purchase extra equipment in the club.”
The first meeting on the calendar is the Aberdeen Gala Day on Sunday, October 30, followed by the Zone Championships on December 10 and 11.
