The field day offers a great opportunity to see a NSW DPI presentation on breeding and genetics as well as how to maximize productivity in beef cattle.
The day will also encompass steer grazing trials and feed efficiency, an update on the latest drone research and a visit to UNE’s SMART farm.
The field day will take place on Wednesday, March 22 and costs $15 for Upper Hunter Sustainable Farming group members and $25 for non-members.
Location pick up times include: Merriwa Post Office at 8.00am; Denman Information Centre at 8.40am; Muswellbrook Train Station at 9.10am; Scone Train station at 9.45am; and Murrurundi Info. Centre at 10.15am. The expected arrival time is 10.45am.
