DETECTIVES attached to the Hunter Valley Local Area Command have charged a second man with the murder of Lake Macquarie mother-of-two, Carly McBride.

The 31-year-old, of Belmont, disappeared during a visit to Muswellbrook in September, 2014.
Her remains were found in bushland on the outskirts of Scone in August last year.
A post mortem examination indicated she died from blunt force trauma to the head.
On Monday, detectives from Strike Force Karabi travelled to San Remo, on the Central Coast, and arrested a 39-year-old man from nearby Buff Point.
He was charged with Ms McBride’s murder and faced Wyong Local Court that afternoon.
About 9.30am this morning, investigators travelled to Lithgow where they charged a 26-year-old alleged co-offender with the murder.
He was also charged with unrelated offences pertaining to the destruction by fire of a rental car and weapons matters.
He is expected to face Lithgow Local Court this afternoon.
