ONE man was hospitalised and another assessed at the scene by paramedics after a head-on collision south of the Liddell Power Station on Wednesday.
NSW Ambulance arrived on the scene just before 3pm, where a 36 year-old male was trapped in his vehicle.
Emergency services worked to free the man who paramedics found was conscious and complaining of pelvic pain.
A second person at the scene refused transport to hospital, a spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said.
Paramedics took precautions for spinal injury while treating the 36-year-old man, who was freed from the vehicle a short time after emergency services arrived.

THE New England Highway, near the Liddell Power Station, has been impacted by a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews and Roads and Maritime Services are attending the scene, between Muswellbrook and Singleton, with one person believed to be trapped in their car.
The crash, which occurred just before 3pm, has affected traffic in both directions.
Northbound traffic is being diverted at Ravensworth onto Hebden Road, while those travelling south are also being diverted at Muswellbrook to Hebden Road.
Heavy vehicles have been advised to use the Golden Highway, via Denman, in both directions.
Drivers are being encouraged to reduce their speed, exercise caution and expect delays as officials deal with the situation.
