Two wins on the trot has pushed the Tigers up to third on the competition ladder ahead of this weekend’s clash with Singleton.
After arriving from the Murrurundi Mavericks at the start of the season, Holman (pictured) says the club’s positive culture is a major factor in its strong results so far.
“There’s a great bunch of blokes here, they all made me and a few others from the Mavericks feel really welcome,” he said.
“The Tigers have gained a few good players like Dane Thorogood and Shane Hasselmann to go with guys like Leigh Mitchell and Cameron French, who have stuck with the club over the years.
“We’ve all gotten on and that’s why I think we’re going so well at the moment.”
Holman praised his side’s defence in the 40-22 win over Muswellbrook, but said the Tigers would face a tough test against the Greyhounds.
“We know that Singleton is always difficult to beat so it’d be great to grind out a win at home.
“We’ve had four wins away from home but only a draw here so it’ll be fantastic for the club if we can get the three points.”
The clash kicks off in Aberdeen at 4pm on Saturday. In other first grade matches, Scone will be looking to extend its lead at the top against Denman while Muswellbrook plays Greta Branxton.
