Organisers also saw the 2015 Upper Hunter Youth Beef Cattle Camp in Muswellbrook as a success.
More than 75 students participated in the annual event in 2015.
The 77 student participants were given valuable skills at Muswellbrook Showground ahead of Beef Bonanza later this month.
The pupils rotated through activity stations including clipping, halter making, animal health, parading and moving stock.
There were representatives from Scone High School, Muswellbrook High School, Singleton High School, Carinya Christian School, and Oxley High School.
