Since its beginning seven years ago, the event has grown from strength-to-strength, and will return on Sunday, November 8.
Hosted by the Upper Hunter Motoring Association (UHMA), it also includes a dinner and dance on Saturday evening at Muswellbrook RSL Club.
Attendees can dance along to rock ‘n’ roll music by Jumpin Jukebox.
The evening includes a two-course meal, raffles, and an auction of memorabilia.
Appropriately, this year’s dinner and dance theme is Cars the movie.
“It’s just to brighten the thing up and give it a bit of colour,” Mr McLean said.
“It’s a really good night.”
On Sunday, all are welcome to attend the car show; cost is $2 per person, or $5 per family.
UHMA committee member Colin McLean said the event has been gaining a reputation as a varied and family-orientated car show.
“I think it’s the biggest car show in the Upper Hunter and it’s set up in such a way that we try to incorporate every sort of motor car,” he said.
Trophies will be awarded for vehicles on show in around 18 categories.
“We try to get plenty of variety for the people who bring their vehicles along,” Mr McLean said.
There will be also be free jumping castles and face painting for
children; as well as market stalls for browsing, and discounted helicopter joy flights from Hunter Valley Helicopters.
Proceeds from both events on the weekend are donated to Muswellbrook PCYC.
Last year the group celebrated raising more than $100,000 for the cause since the event’s inception.
Mr McLean said the weekend is well-supported by the community.
Those who have enjoyed the two-day extravaganza in the past are encouraged it will be quite similar to previous years.
There are limited tickets available to the dinner. For more information, phone Geoff on 0407 247 998.
