The Upper Hunter Motoring Association Inc. (UHMA) is revving up to host their first meet and greet park up for 2017.
On Thursday, February 23, the group will meet at Auto Pro Maitland Street, Muswellbrook, from 5pm.
There will be a sausage sizzle and drinks available.
UHMA president Brian Simpson said the event had become an ideal opportunity for those with an interest in classic or vintage vehicles, or even those looking at buying or restoring, to join and meet like minded people.
“Unlike some car clubs, UHMA Inc. welcomes any type of classic vintage car, bike, vintage caravans, military vehicles and trucks,” he said.
“The club is approved by the Roads and Maritime Services to operate within the conditional registration/permit scheme for vehicles 30 years or older.
“The club’s other activities include the monthly meeting from 7 pm on the first Wednesday of the month at Muswellbrook RSL Club.”
The crew regularly attend car shows and events together, and organise their annual Global Village Motorfest Dinner Dance and Fair, which is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, October 14 and 15.
“This is a not-for-profit event, with proceeds going to charity,” Mr Simpson said.
“In fact, following the 2016 event, total donations to Muswellbrook PCYC have reached $136,000.”
The group of car and bike enthusiast gatherings are on the last Thursday of every month, and have proven to be a popular event.
