It's the end for the Muswellbrook Rams' reserve graders in BHP Billiton Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League

THE most successful reserve grade side in the past decade or so will vie for the title again in 2017.

The Singleton Greyhounds hammered the Muswellbrook Rams 54–0 in the BHP Billiton Hunter Valley Group 21 Rugby League preliminary final at Pirtek Park on Sunday.

A date – and rematch – awaits next Saturday with the Aberdeen Tigers who stole the crown last season.

The showdown was as good as over at half-time with the Greyhounds ahead 36-0.

Brodie Rinkin, Jake Mackaway, Joel Parsons, Jordan Watson, Hayden Yates and Michael Rinkin all touched down in the opening 40 minutes.

Mackaway was deadly with the boot, landing six goals.

Although Muswellbrook improved in the second period, the Greyhounds piled on the pressure.

Watson, Michael and Brodie Rinkin secured their doubles for the afternoon.

Meanwhile, Mackaway maintained his 100 per cent record, snaring a further three goals.
