They will start top weight Dee I Cee in the $100,000 MRS Services Group Muswellbrook Cup (1500m), Coonawarra in the Pump and Pipeline Services Class One and Maiden (1750m) and, maybe, the unraced Whiteley in the Prime 7 Starmaker Two Year Old (1000m).
The stable’s racing manager, Emma Pearce, said Whiteley had also been nominated for Rosehill on Saturday.
“We want to assess the fields for both races before deciding where he will go,” she said.
“He has only had the one trial and the 1000 metres at Muswellbrook looks ideal at this stage although he has progressed hugely since the trial.
“He was bought at the Magic Millions and the plan is to have him ready for the Gold Coast in January.”
Rachael King, who has a terrific strike rate at Muswellbrook and is riding in great form, will be aboard Dee I Cee while Blake Spriggs will ride Coonawarra.
If Whiteley comes to Muswellbrook he will be ridden by Adam Hyeronimus.
Dee I Cee is the obvious class runner of the Cup field and will carry the maximum 62kg under the quality conditions after winning the Listed Premiers Cup at Rosehill in August.
There is then a huge drop in the weights to the Rod Northam-trained After All That and the Bjorn Baker-trained Gold Ambition on 54.5kg and the remainder on 54kg.
That means there will be a scramble by trainers to find good jockeys who can ride comfortably at the minimum weight.
