In the end, the hosts prevailed 26.16.172 to 0.1.1.
The Cats came flying out of the blocks in the first quarter, kicking eight goals to none.
They then went right on with the job in the second and fourth terms, booting seven and 10 majors respectively to record a very convincing win.
Star forward Adam Higham kicked seven goals in a vintage display.
He was well-supported up front by Jayden Galvin and Jeremy Smith, who both chimed in with three each.
Muswellbrook boasted 12 individual goalkickers as they consolidated fourth place on the Black Diamond Plate ladder.
The Cats best players were Nigel Smith, Jeremy Smith, Jedd Stojakovic, Higham and Matthew Dunn.

In the GE Women’s Competition, Muswellbrook put in a fine effort before being overwhelmed by a talent-laden Wyong Lakes side, losing 16.11.107 to 1.0.6.
The Cats have improved significantly this season and fought hard for four quarters against the Magpies.
Muswellbrook’s produced some fine wins this year and will be confident of more victories in this, their second season in the league.
Samantha Rodrigues kicked the Cats only goal in the first quarter.
