Bringing information together and making it easier for people to access is what the November 9 event is all about, according to TransCare promotions officer Jemma Anshaw.
“As a local service provider we know the struggles some of our clients go through trying to understand what is available in the Upper Hunter,” she said.
“By offering all the local service providers, businesses and community groups an opportunity to meet with guests face-to-face it makes the exchange so much easier for everyone.”
This year TransCare would like to encourage families to attend and meet with the organisations that may be in a position to help their more senior kin.
“Just because it is a seniors’ expo does not mean we are checking your age at the door,” Ms Anshaw said.
“We would love to see more, younger members of the community attend and help their parents or grandparents plan for the future.
“Families play a big role in many care situations and it is just as important for them to be comfortable with the service providers as the client is.”
The TransCare Muswellbrook Seniors Expo will take place at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on Friday, November 9, from 10am to 1pm.
Entry is free.
