Just after midnight on Thursday, January 17, a white utility reversed into the store front of a service station on Ogilvie Street at Denman.
An ATM was removed from the store and put into the back of the utility before the vehicle fled.
Officers from Hunter Valley Police District attended and saw the vehicle on Denman Road.
The vehicle sped off and a pursuit was initiated, travelling through Muswellbrook up to the New England Highway.
The pursuit was terminated on Green Tree Close, Quirindi, after the utility entered a paddock.
The utility could not be located despite a search of the area.
Investigators attended a Quirindi property on Thursday after the ATM had been located.
The ATM has been seized and will be forensically examined.
Inquiries continue.
