NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) crews are battling a bush fire, between Aberdeen and Muswellbrook, on Monday.
Smoke is visible from the New England Highway, as well as both towns.
The Remote Area Firefighting Team (RAFT) has made its way to the scene, near McCullys Gap.
It is believed the fire started on Colonel Mountain.
The NSW RFS has downgraded the fire from “out of control” to “under control”.
