Siblings make a mark on state stage
DENMAN Pony Club members Dave and Ben Caruana recently made their respective marks on the state stage.
The pair was among 600 entries, who contested the 2019 Pony Club NSW State Sporting, Team Penning, Campdraft, Team Sporting and Mounted Games Championships at the Merriwa Showground.
The Caruanas both competed on the Saturday in the NSW State Sporting Championships, making the finals and coming away with a few ribbons each.
Only Dave was able to take part in the campdrafting on the Sunday as Ben was too young.
He then won the 10 and under-13 years' NSW title, following the two-round competition, on his horse Tex.
