Due to a variety of circumstances, the popular traditional "street party" was cancelled late last year.
But, a "temporary replacement" - this time at Denman Oval - should alleviate some of the disappointment, according to event organiser Jay Shepherdson.
"The planning's gone well so far," he said.
"We don't know if we'll get 500 or 2000 people.
"However, everyone seems to be talking about it.
"For the locals, it was important to keep Denman on the calendar and fill the void of the annual Upper Hunter Wine and Food Affair, which we're hoping will return in 2020 - bigger and better.
"And, there is a positive vibe around at the moment, because something is happening in town on the weekend.
"People can come here on Saturday, then head to Scone for the horse festival parade and school fete on Sunday."
Between 11am and 4pm, the Denman Day Out (Wine and Food Affair Day) will feature "goodies" from Two Rivers Wines, Hollydene Estate Wines, Hunter Belle Cheese, Tilse's Apple Truck Cider and much more.
Plus, there's plenty to tempt the taste buds, from Mexican to Thai food, pizzas, pork rolls, ice-cream, cakes, a canteen and full bar - the list is endless.
On top of that, the kids will be looked after, too, thanks to free rides and face painting, while Michelle Phillips' camels are sure to delight the youngsters and those young-at-heart.
If you want to kick back and enjoy some tunes, it's no problem either.
Darren Rolling Keys will provide entertainment from 11am until 1pm, with the feature act, Darryl "Carrot" Bowen and The Collective, hitting the stage from 1pm until 4pm.
"We just want people to have a good time," Mr Shepherdson said.
"That's the plan.
"You can bring a blanket or chair to the venue, soak up the atmosphere or listen to music, while the children play.
"Hopefully, it will be a beautiful sunny day.
"I'd just like to thank those who have helped put it all together.
"Chris Sowter, in particular, supplied the stage and a number of other things at no cost.
"Afterwards, The Denman Hotel will host a band - and we'll provide a free bus to take people down there."
Entry into the fully-fenced area is $10.
