And, the staff's generosity was greatly appreciated, according to director of participant services Sally Pereira.
"It's a lovely surprise," she said.
"We're very grateful for the support.
"Our participants will put it [the money] towards their holidays at the end of the year.
"It's a big thing for them to go away - and something they really look forward to."
Over the next few months, Commonwealth Bank has pledged to donate $500,000 nationally to recognise organisations that make a difference in the communities in which we live and work.
Each branch and customer-facing team was allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local region.
Commonwealth Bank's Muswellbrook employees voted to assist the great work of Warrior Disability Services.
"We're very excited to have the opportunity to support Sally and Warrior Disability Services," branch manager Samantha Jones said.
"In particular, we love the passion this organisation has.
"And, to see the positive difference they make within our community, it's great to be able to give back and support this work."
