It was an early start for the youngsters in the Hunter Valley as the DPS and St Mary's Scone squads headed to McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle to compete in the event's finale.
The Denman division B team of Jonathan, Dawson, Tyson, Braydan, Jade, Archie T, Keedan, Bailey, Theodore, Brodie, Dillon, Eddy, Blaney, Toby and Ajay displayed great teamwork and consistency to lead 16-0 at the break.
St Mary's fought back hard in the second period with both outfits giving it their all.
At the final whistle, Denman Public School was victorious 30-12.
Bailey was also awarded Player of the Day by NRL legend Mark Hughes for his outstanding contribution to the match.
"These teams enjoy great rivalry and it was fantastic to see two local sides representing the Hunter Valley so strongly," DPS principal Megan Druitt said.
"Congratulations to all players and coaching staff on this fantastic achievement."
Denman Public School will now travel to Sydney for the next level of the competition.
