EMERGENCY services were required this morning after a car collided with the shop front at St Vincent de Paul's in Muswellbrook.
At approximately 11:15 fire crews were called to assist with the incident which saw one woman taken to Muswellbrook Hospital with minor injuries and chest pains.
Reports claim a truck clipped the back of a car which in turn saw the vehicle lose control and slam into the store, which sustained damages to its panelling and front door.
Dakota Hebbard witnessed the crash and took time to speak to The Chronicle about the shocking moment.
"I was actually serving a customer and she was about to walk out and she screamed," said the St Vinnie's employee.
"I looked and we both just run back further into the store and we were just really shaken up."
She believes it was incredible nobody got seriously hurt considering how bad the incident could have been.
"To be honest I reckon we're really lucky and same for all the people that were involved because it could have been so much worse," she said.
With help from the fire service, the shop was made safe for reopening and did so shortly before 2 o'clock this afternoon.
