Eat Your Heart Out features Muswellbrook's Caitlin Henry, Andrew Anderson, Jake Cronin and Will Moore as well as base player Dom Cant, who have now moved to Newcastle to pursue their dream.
They signed with American record label Fearless Records in 2017 and have recently completed a tour of the USA, opening for Real Friends and completing 32 shows throughout October and November.
Henry, the lead singer, revealed they also stayed back in Los Angeles for six weeks to record their debut album and spoke about the emotion surrounding the experience.
"We were very excited, obviously it's what we've been working towards for years since high school," she said.
"It's always been the dream so we were very, very excited to have that opportunity and just try to make the most of it and see as much as we could over there and make a good impression."
The 23-year-old admitted she would like to do it again, but is currently looking forward to their upcoming Australian tour.
Despite being a former HSC high achiever, she has shown that following your passion can often be the best option and that success materialises in many forms.
Having featured on Triple J and performed overseas, the former Muswellbrook High School students have clearly struck a chord with listeners through their songs such as Carousel, Patience and Closer to the Sun.
