A little girl was at her grandfather's funeral when she turned to her big brother and whispered: "Do you think when I get to heaven I should ask Grandpa if he loved me more than he loved you?"

The older brother smiled and asked: "What if Grandpa doesn't get to heaven?"
The little girl laughed and replied: "Well, then you can ask him."
Then there was the atheist and a priest who walked into a bar. Actually, it was a Hungry Jack's, followed by a KFC, followed by a McDonald's where a large part of our conversation was on weight loss as we filled our growing stomachs. Unbelievable.
Strangely enough, my atheist friend and I agree on almost everything - except a belief in God obviously. On that subject we can't even agree on whether an atheist can also be an agnostic.
But as with my other atheist friends, we never fight when we disagree about our beliefs as we both believe the convictions of others should be respected, even if not believed. The importance of this cannot be overstated. However, this doesn't mean we can't also state what we don't believe.
I still can't believe that while on air last month, radio host Kyle Sandilands described the Virgin Mary as a liar and made other more disgusting accusations I feel too uncomfortable to repeat. Not content with this, Sandilands' insults and religious bigotry continued, stating to anyone who believed in the Bible story: "You're dumb".
Was Sandilands sacked for his hate speech? Of course not. He and co-host Jackie O last week signed contracts with radio station KIIS FM in the vicinity of $80 million. It's believed to be the biggest media deal in Australian history. Unbelievable.
Sandilands later apologised for his statements, however, he used language in his apology that would obviously be offensive to the very people he initially offended. Unbelievable.

In light of the above, I've been musing anew on the Israel Folau saga. Six months ago, Folau attacked people's beliefs by expressing his own via "that post".
Only the month before, Folau had become the most prolific try-scorer in Super Rugby history. He was arguably Australian rugby's most valuable player.
Even so, only a week after he made "that post", Rugby Australia stood Folau down and announced its intention to terminate his contract, which it went on to do.
This all became a little hard to stomach on Saturday night when Australia's 40-16 loss to England in Oita, Japan became the Wallabies' biggest defeat in World Cup history.
It also marked the first time Australia has failed to reach the semi-finals since 2007, and equalled our earliest-ever exit from the World Cup.
Meanwhile, ARL Commission chairman Peter Beattie and NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg have made it clear they will do everything they can to block any attempt by Folau to return to rugby league.
Beattie has said that Folau will not be welcomed back to rugby league due to his controversial social media posts. Why?
Earlier this month, West Tigers star Russell Packer was crowned by the NRL as male academic player of the year. In 2013, Packer assaulted a man, causing him to fall and hit his head on the ground. Packer then punched the man repeatedly as he lay there then stomped on his head, leaving the victim with two fractured facial bones.
The rugby player rightfully served time in jail for his actions. But post incarceration, the NRL let him keep playing for the Dragons. Unbelievable.
In 2015, Brisbane Broncos player Matt Lodge chased two German tourists into a New York apartment building.
The 193cm Lodge then attacked a man who came to their aid before breaking into the man's apartment, smashing his furniture and trying to punch through a bathroom door where a nine-year-old boy was hiding in fear.
Lodge's rampage only ended when police arrested him at gunpoint.
The NRL still allowed Lodge to return to the game and he could captain Brisbane next year.
These are the things I find unbelievable.
