HUNTER Valley Police District Senior Constable Sheree Gray is in celebration mode tonight after winning the Rotary Community Award at the prestigious 2019 Rotary Clubs of NSW Police Officer of the Year ceremony.
The popular officer, who recently coordinated National Graffiti Removal Day in Muswellbrook, claimed the honour at a special dinner at the Hyatt Regency, Sydney, on Friday, November 8.
Senior Constable Gray prevailed in the category ahead of Senior Constable John Jones (Monaro Police District) and Sergeant Scott West (Leichhardt Police Area Command).
The award recognises the exceptional efforts of NSW Police Force employees, who have worked for the benefit of the community, putting service above self whether on or off duty.

Earlier in the week, Senior Constable Gray admitted it was a "shock" just to be a finalist.
"I honestly wasn't expecting it," she said.
"But, I appreciate Senior Constable Libby Simos, from HVPD, for nominating me."
