Members of the organisation presented another substantial donation to the Muswellbrook PCYC this week, proceeds from the recent Global Village Motorfest and Fair weekend.
The UHMA hosted its annual dinner dance at the Muswellbrook RSL Club on Saturday, November 2, before staging the main event the following day at the Muswellbrook Showground.
Motorfest also celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2019 - and a decade of financial contributions to the local community.
On this occasion, $15,000 is heading to the Muswellbrook PCYC, with a further $5000 set to benefit Doing It For Our Farmers in Murrurundi.
"That money includes profits from the weekend and the auction items [from the dinner dance], as well as $2000 from the Muswellbrook RSL Club and $2000 from the Muswellbrook and District Workers Club," UHMA treasurer Geoff Budden said.
"Although the amount is down a little bit, for a variety of reasons, we're very happy with the result.
"Everyone enjoyed the night out, that's for sure.
"We love supporting the Muswellbrook PCYC and other charities in the area.
"Our thanks go to everyone, from sponsors to those who attended either event, for being on board."
Muswellbrook PCYC manager De-anne Douglas was overcome with emotion as she accepted the generous gift.
"The UHMA does such a great job year-in, year-out," she said.
"It's really a terrific gesture - and I'm humbled by their continual support.
"Donations like this make a huge difference in being able to say 'yes' to people, instead of 'no'.
"The group's been instrumental in maintaining our youth development programs, including the Licence to Drive initiative.
"We'll also put some of the funds towards helping those residents doing it tough at the moment, too.
"I can't express my gratitude enough."
