Jessica Borg, Isabelle Burke, Charlotte Davey, Joe Ellis, Riley Jeans, Bridie O'Neill, Pippa Saunders and Mia Turner will join students from Murray Conservatorium (Albury) and Mitchell Conservatorium (Bathurst) to perform at Australia Day celebrations in Sydney in January.
The gifted pupils spent last Friday rehearsing and recording at the ABC studios in readiness for Salute to Australia, broadcast from HMAS Adelaide, and Australia Day Live from the Opera House.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to mix with other singers and participate in a professional production," UHCM director Dr Wendy Brooks.
"They'll be part of a special regional youth choir.
"Their performances [last week] were of a very high standard.
"A huge thank you goes to Chrystal Ellis and Tara Jeans for travelling with the students to Sydney."
