Joseph Hamson made a visit to Muswellbrook South Public School (MSPS) on Friday, December 6, and was guest speaker as the 2020 sports captains were announced.
The 16-year-old, who is a national age swimming champion and currently studies at Knox Grammar School in Sydney, was interviewed by school prefect Taj McCabe Hamilton about his achievements.
Taj was one of several talented sportspeople that Joseph met on the day.
The prefect had this year picked up the coaches award for his football side; Harrison Foot became the swimming age champion and secured the coaches award for cricket; Declan Dolbel got an award for outstanding achievement in sport; Tayte Gillan was a Premiers Sporting Challenge recipient; and Jackson Foot was crowned swimming and cross country age champion and also won a coaches award for junior rugby league.
It's clear MSPS has become, if it wasn't already, a superb establishment for nourishing athletes across a range of different disciplines.
