DUE to popular demand, Aussie Ark is opening its doors to the general public for the second consecutive year in 2020.
Even though the not-for-profit conservation facility in the Barrington Tops already conducts small private tours each month, president Tim Faulkner hopes to encourage more people to join their crusade by making the premises available throughout January.
During the school holidays, Aussie Ark welcomes locals and visitors alike to meet some of Australia's most endangered species.
"We were completely blown away by the response last year and can't wait to open up again for round two," Mr Faulkner said.
"I believe it is so important to show our supporters exactly what it is we do at Aussie Ark.
"And, what better way to do that than have them come by?
"The doors are only open for a limited time from January 1 to 28.
"People can visit the facility from 10am until 2pm every day with tours running at 10.30am, 11.30am and 12.30pm sharp."
While on the tour, it has been guaranteed that visitors will see and encounter Tasmanian devils in their wild enclosures and get up close to Eastern quolls.
With 69 Tasmanian devil joeys born this year alone, guests will be able to have encounters with the joeys.
Prices are $35 per adult, $15 a child and $90 for a family to visit Aussie Ark during January.
