While many individuals selflessly donated goods, such as treats and bottled water, to the gallant volunteers, a number of community-based groups have played an important role, too.
The Denman Lions Club just stepped up to the plate, contributing $2000 to eight NSW RFS brigades in its district.
Mangoola, Dalswinton, Bureen, Martindale, Yarrawa, Baerami, Widden and Sandy Hollow, which is managed by Mangoola, each pocketed $250.
"The money will allow crews to purchase much-needed food and drinks," president Steve Carter said.
"We're particularly mindful that these wonderful people often bear the cost of these things themselves.
"The club has also approved and organised $500 tabs at Fresh and Graze so the volunteers can receive a free coffee before their shift.
"We thank both cafes for helping us support our NSW RFS members."
Mr Carter expressed his gratitude to residents for their ongoing donations, too.
"This is a terrible time for our community and we are overwhelmed and very grateful for the assistance we're receiving," he said.
"We are happy to make our marquees and barbecues available, as well as other items, if an evacuation centre is required in Denman."
It's been a busy period of late for the local Lions.
Last month, the organisation joined forces with On The Bandwagon to host A Day Out for the Farmers at the town's pony club grounds in Bell Street.
Trucks laden with water, hay, food and toys were distributed among families from Uarbry, Denman, Jerrys Plains, Martindale, Sandy Hollow, Cassilis, Merriwa, Bunnan and Muswellbrook.
Santa also handed out gifts to kids, up to the age of 12.
"We were delighted by the response to that event," Mr Carter said.
"More than 70 [farming families] attended, as well as a few NSW RFS volunteers.
"But, our support for the men and women on the land is ongoing throughout this emergency period.
"We'll be sending out fuel vouchers to farmers in areas that are being threatened by fires in our area over the coming week.
"We hope they will help people get to safety if the need arises."
