Shots of police in riot gear and firing tear gas to dispel demonstrators have been filling our screens.
So what's gone down?
By now you know that protests have been raging across the United States following the death of 46-year-old African American man George Floyd at the hands of white law enforcement officers in Minneapolis.
This morning, President Donald Trump vowed to end the violent protests, saying he would deploy the military if mayors and state governors refused to call out the National Guard.
"Mayors and governors must establish an overwhelming law enforcement presence until the violence has been quelled," Trump said.
"If a city or state refuses to take the actions that are necessary to defend the life and property of their residents, then I will deploy the United States military and quickly solve the problem for them."
Seven News showed this footage of a police officer punching the camera of their cameraman Tim Myers while broadcasting live during the protests in Washington D.C.

After his speech this morning, Trump then walked through Lafayette Square to St John's Church, which was damaged by fire during Sunday's evening riots.
There he held up a Bible for a photo opportunity, and said "we're the greatest country in the world".
There are reports that peaceful protesters were cleared away from the area before Trump's walk, ahead of the 7pm curfew.
Dozens of cities across the US are under curfews at levels not seen since riots that broke out following the 1968 assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
The Washington Post are reporting the Episcopal bishop of Washington Mariann Budde is "seething" after the President's visit to St John's.
"I am the bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and was not given even a courtesy call, that they would be clearing [the area] with tear gas so they could use one of our churches as a prop," The Post reports Budde saying.
"I am beyond. We need moral leadership, and he's done everything to divide us, and has just used one of the most sacred symbols of the Judeo-Christian tradition."
Joe Biden has spoken out about Trump's church visit, here's what he had to say on Twitter:
Also this morning, an independent autopsy commissioned by George Floyd's family determined the cause of his death was "asphyxiation from sustained pressure". This is contrary to the report from Minnesota's medical examiner, which determined strangulation was not related to his death.
