On Wednesday, they responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a bike and truck, before heading out to control a yard blaze later that evening.
Then, about 8.40am on Thursday, June 25, the firies were called to the car park at Hungry Jack's in Bridge Street following reports of a truck fire.
"On arrival, we found the rear of the recycling vehicle alight, as well as a rubbish pile," a FRNSW Muswellbrook spokesperson said.
"A line of 38mm hose was used, including the first aid reel.
"Luckily, the quick actions of the driver dumped the rubbish in the car park.
"Crews then extinguished the truck and surrounding area.
"Hunter Valley Police District (HVPD) officers, NSW Ambulance paramedics and Muswellbrook Shire Council staff attended the scene, too.
"Now, the clean-up begins."
A NSW Police Media spokesperson said HVPD was on hand to ensure the traffic flowed smoothly, especially at that time of the morning.
"From all reports, no roads were affected," she stated.
"But, I believe the truck driver may have been treated for smoke inhalation."
