They will provide 24-hour water-filling opportunities for recreational vehicles, water tanker trucks and smaller vehicles.
Muswellbrook Shire Council advises the new automatic water fill stations located in Strathmore Road, Muswellbrook, and Merton Road, Denman, are now operational.
Water purchase is by credit card and costs $3.37/1000L of potable water that complies with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
"A 25mm connection and hose or 50mm connection and hose are required - and are easily connected for rapid filling," a council spokesperson said.
"The easily recognisable bright green units are fitted with solar-powered lights to allow access and use at any time of day or night.
"All water supplies through the fill stations are subject to the shire's water level restrictions, currently at Level 2."
The automatic water filling stations were funded by the Australian Government's Drought Community Program Extension and Muswellbrook Shire Council.
