It was a Cup day like no other with events around the region still held under strict Covid-19 restrictions.
Nonetheless, locals made the most of the festivities as they slowly start to mingle again and adjust to the new normal.
The local 7-race program at Skellatar Park provided plenty of entertainment while on the big screen it was all about Twilight Payment who settled into the lead early for an upset win in the 2020 Melbourne Cup ahead of Tiger Moth and Prince of Arran.
It was a seventh Cup victory for owner Lloyd Williams and second for trainer Joseph O'Brien, on top of his 2017 triumph with Rekindling.
