Mount Lewotobi, a twin volcano in the southeastern part of Flores Island, is one of the larger islands along Indonesia's so called "Ring of Fire".
It consists of two peaks, Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki and Mount Lewotobi Perempuan.
ANTARA news agency said the eruption occurred at 7.20am on June 10, with the height of the eruption 1000m above the peak (2584 m above sea level).
The eruption was recorded on a seismograph with a maximum amplitude of 47.3 mm and a duration of 304 seconds.
Yet, it was business as usual for the village soccer competition.
The video was aptly captioned on X: "Is there anything that can get in the way of footy?"
It isn't the first time the volcano has erupted in 2024. On January 17 Lewotobi Laki-Laki erupted three times within an hour.
