At around 1am on August 23, a man wearing grey track pants and a hooded brown leather jacket walked into the Marine Parade service station, allegedly threatened the shop assistant with a gun and demanded access to the cash register. CCTV footage shows the man walking to the fridges and selecting snacks before approaching the counter and unzipping his jacket to allegedly reveal the gun. The man is seen clearing the cash register of notes and taking a handful of coins to put in his pocket. IN OTHER NEWS: He leaves the service station on foot without incident. CCTV footage clearly shows the man's face and police are hoping a member of the public might hold the key to identifying the alleged armed robber.
